Senior Staff Writershooting on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. The shooting happened around 2:45am Sunday morning in the famous French Quarter, known for its wild times. Early rumors stated that seven (7) were injured; however more injuries were later reported. The local news, WDSU, reported its entire information. Police spokesman Frank Robertson said, "seven people were listed in stable condition and one person, an unidentified woman, was listed in critical condition. Another person's condition wasn't immediately known." It appears as if there were two gunmen who got into a dispute, and both began shooting each other. The bystanders were innocent people just trying to enjoy their time on Bourbon Street. New Orleans Police Department Superintendent Ronal Serpas best describes this crime as “heinous.” He added, “This is two young men, both armed with firearms, who chose to settle a dispute between themselves without a moment's care for anyone else." Officials seem to have multiple eyewitnesses and good video footage of the incident. In a news conference Serpas held Sunday, he elaborated on his statement, saying they were “going to catch these two little young men and we're going to bring them to justice. I hope that they're listening. I hope that their friends are listening, and hope their mom and them are listening." We can only hope the suspects are apprehended and the victims are able to get justice for such a senseless crime. Keep Up With PopWrapped On The Web!
