Have you unfriended that jerk on your Facebook who’s always bragging about his mega-expensive taste in alcohol, or his super-sweet ride?
Well, it turns out you’re not the only one; in a new poll done byPromotionalCodes.org.uk which takes into account 820 different Facebook users, nearly 70% of people admit to deleting people from their Friends list for being insufferable braggarts.
Close on the heels of the boasters for “most frequently unfollowed” were people who post incessentaly about their current relationship; people who update their status too frequently; people they’ve lost touch with in real life; and people who post offensive photos.
A similar poll conducted in March by Sweatband.com named the most annoying users to be fitness nuts and (along the same lines) people who insist on posting photos of their meals.
A spokesperson for PromotionalCodes.org.uk shared the following wisdom for Facebook users: “Our study shows that sharing too much can turn some people off as it can quite easily be perceived as bragging. If you care about growing your contacts list it’s important to update regularly and honestly but to remember you are talking to lots of people who aren’t necessarily close friends.”
Sage advice, PromotionalCodes.org.uk. Sage advice.
