Britney Spears is getting ready to make us say "oooh" with a new single in less than a month! B9 will come shortly after. Get all the details about her upcoming release here...

Pop Goddess Britney Spears is rapidly preparing to reclaim her spot atop the pop machine with the release of her ninth studio album (working title B9). Spears and her team are officially ready to move into the first stages of the project with the release of it's lead single "Me Me (Oooh)." Fans can expect the new single within the month, and B9 is expected to follow shortly thereafter.

Let's take a moment to celebrate...

Ok, back to work bitch...

The news was confirmed by The Las Vegas Sun, and they also confirmed that the music video for "Make Me (Oooh)" was set to be shot next week. The single will debut alongside the visual, and it will make a live debut during the June shows of Britney's critically acclaimed Britney: Piece of Me Las Vegas residency. "The concept for the video is all set" Spears's team assured publications; they also promised that the direction and sound would be unexpected and new for the "Baby One More Time" hit maker.

Already rumors are circulating that "Make Me (Oooh)" was produced by the hugely talented BURNS. The twosome were pictured working together in the studio in 2015, with Britney posting a photo of them to Instagram after they dropped fire in the sound booth. "Making magic in the studio with @thisisburns4real yesterday" Spears captioned the silly snaps. Speculation has stemmed from BURNS tweeted out the phrase "totally different and somewhat unexpected," which was directly lifted from The Las Vegas Sun's article.

Earlier this year Britney and her manager Larry Rudolph discussed the project, and both promised big things upon release. Rudolph implied that the project was somewhat inspired by the alternative and darkly seductive R&B musings of The Weeknd. Britney herself referred to the project as her "baby" and vowed to work on it until it was absolutely perfect for release. Both Rudolph and Spears promised that the album would tackle an unexpected sound, and that it would be some of the best Britney Spears music released in recent memory.

Basically, we're excited, and you should be too. New Britney is on a mission, she's remixed, still very iconic, and ready to slay the game!
