Successful vampire series True Blood has just gained a Broadway star! Valarie Pettiford, who was recently nominated for a Tony Award for her role in the Broadway production Fosse, will have a recurring role in a two-episode arc that starts in episode 7, Deadline reports.
Pettiford has also appeared on television in series such as Tyler Perry’s House of Payne and Half & Half, and will be joining fellow new cast members Rutger Hauer and Rob Kazinsky.
True Blood's season six will resume next Sunday (July 14th) with episode 5. The episodes starring Pettiford will be aired on July 28th and August 4th. The series will make its UK debut this fall.
