Doug Judy’s Bachelor Party

Doug Judy is getting married. And Jake isn’t invited. Jake and Doug meet up at Doug’s favourite hangout, a place where you can paint pottery, and Jake interrogates him as to why he wasn’t invited to the wedding. Doug says his friends don’t like the fact that he’s friends with a cop. But Jake scores an invite to Doug’s bachelor party in Miami as long as he’s undercover as Sean, Doug’s friend from prison. Trudy Judy also shows up at the hotel for the bachelor party and nearly blows Jake’s cover. Doug’s friends laugh and say it’s good Jake’s not a cop because they just stole $10 million worth of diamonds. Trudy Judy tells everyone that Jake is a cop. Jake doesn’t want to ruin the bachelor party but he can’t do nothing. So they arrange a reverse-heist, in which they steal the fake replacement diamonds and replace them with the real ones. However since “cops always be coppin’”, Jake has Doug’s friends arrested for grand larceny. It turns out, this was all a setup because Doug’s fiance didn’t want Doug’s criminal friends at the wedding. Instead, Doug asks Jake to be his best man.

The New Vending Machine

Back at the Nine-Nine, there is some extra space in the break room for a third vending machine. The only question is which one to get. Charles wants one that has octopus and fish balls. Gross. Hitchcock and Scully want one that has a built-in pizza oven in addition to traditional snacks. After both ideas are presented to Amy, they get the pizza vending machine. Unfortunately, the circuit shorts due to the high voltage and ruins it. But not all is lost. Charles points out that because there’s space between the two existing vending machines if you tap on the side of one, you can knock the snacks loose. Everything happens for a reason.

Holt’s Business Card

It’s Holt’s first day back as Captain and Terry tries to make Holt’s office look exactly as he left it. Everything on the right angle and in the right place. But there’s one thing missing—a business card with a piece of gum stuck to it. Terry threw it out because it looked like trash. Not wanting to disappoint Holt, Terry and Rosa recreate the business card and the gum. But what they didn’t know is that there was writing on the back of the card. Holt is upset that their card is a fake because the original was the business card of the one person he failed as a cop. He says that card made him into the cop he is today. Terry feels bad and comes back with dozens of business cards from people that Holt has helped over the years. He tells Holt that all the good he has done for the community is what made Holt the cop he is today.
