Bruce Springsteen And E Street Band Announce American Tour Dates

After playing their way through Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are finally coming home to America.

Kicking off on April 8th in Cincinnati, Ohio, Springsteen and the E Street Band plan to visit over a dozen major cities while on the road until the tour’s conclusion, where they will play for two nights in Uncasville, Connecticut on May 17th and 18th.

Having been forced to skip several locations during his 2012 North American tour in support of Wrecking Ball, Springsteen hopes to make it up to his fans by returning to play some of his favorite cities and venues.

While speaking with Rolling Stone in late 2013, Springsteen stated: “As much as we played, we didn’t get to Texas, where I love to play.”

He went on to say: “We didn’t get to Florida. There were some other places we didn’t get on that entire tour. It might be fun to get back to some of those places.”

Springsteen is currently hard at work in the midst of his Australian tour with the E Street Band, as well as special guest Tom Morello, the legendary former guitarist for Rage Against the Machine.

Though E Street Band guitarist Steve Van Zandt is touring alongside Springsteen in Australia, it is unclear if he will be able to play in the upcoming American tour, due to prior commitments to his television series Lilyhammer.

Despite this conflict, Van Zandt has promised to be present for the E Street Band’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on April 10th, just two days after the U.S. tour begins.

Fans of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band unable to attend these performances may take solace in Springsteen’s decision to allow each show to be recorded and made downloadable on his website. The shows are generally posted roughly two days after they have ended.
