It isn’t news that wedding cakes aren’t as traditional as in the old times; grooms and brides like to innovate in their special day and the cakes aren’t an exception. It was what Natalie and David Siderself thought of their wedding cake.
Cake artist and Siderself Cake Studio’s owner, Natalie wanted to do something bold to her wedding and inspired by his groom David Siderself, who is a horror film fan. So she decided to make a severed heads cake hers and David’s heads to be exact!
“We were watching a horror movie, and I was always interested in sculpting lifelike cakes, especially in the face, so I thought, ‘How neat would it be if I did our severed heads?’” She told ABC. The heads were in a white support where was written “Till Death Do Us Apart”.
Making an unusual cake like this, she didn’t tell anyone about, so on the wedding day, all the guests were completely surprised.
“Everybody was shocked and loved it. My grandma did look twice, but in the end she said she appreciated the detail and how realistic it was.”
Would you eat a cake like a that?
