Captain America: Winter Soldier Will Be Critical Leading Into Avengers: The Age Of Ultron

Bob Iger, the current chairman and chief executive officer of the Walt Disney Company, confirmed in an investor meeting that Captain America: The Winter Soldier “will set critical events in motion” that will lead into Avengers: The Age of Ultron.

Iger said, “I’ve really been impressed with the early buzz that we’re seeing for the Marvel films. Captain America 2 is just huge, and it takes the Captain America story to incredible new levels.”

The current speculation on how Cap will directly tie into the Avengers is anyone’s guess, but the top theory is that the post credit scene will include Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. In November 2013, it was announced that Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen were cast as Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch for the new Avengers movie.

The next few years promise to be exciting for Marvel and Disney, films like Captain America, Avengers, Ant-Man, and Thor 3, have all been announced and are in various stages of production.
