Carol Danvers is going to be one busy woman in the Marvel Universe. Comic Book Resources and Digital Spy released details that rising star writer Kelly Sue DeConnick and veteran artist David Lopez will relaunch Captain Marvel next March. The new series is part of Marvel’s “All-New Marvel Now” movement. While the title will not wipeout Ms. Danvers’ core history, DeConnick told Digital Spy that it will pick up after the events that unfolded in the massive Marvel crossover Infinity and Carol’s huge story arc: “The Enemy Within.” "One thing I'll drop [is that] there's a time jump. Not as in time travel - you're welcome! - but rather, there's a gap between the end of this run and the start of the next, and figuring out what happened in that time will be part of the fun of the first arc.”  Said DeConnick. Another part of the creators’ agenda is to bring in worthy characters to interact with Ms. Danvers.   In addition, series editor Steve Wacker added that there might be a fan-favorite character might join her throughout the series. “Kelly Sue wants her to have a pet and a love interest. There's also probably going to be a Raccoon that she gets along famously with as well,” said Wacker. “Hmmm…maybe we can combine all of those into one character.” In addition, readers should also keep a lookout for an emerging group of antagonists that could plague the heroine during her first year. “"[I'm] looking to create some cool new villains worthy of Carol,” DeConnick said. “There are two that are competing for my affection at the moment." Other comics that will be a part of Marvel’s “All-New Marvel Now” campaign include Silver Surfer, Ghost Rider and War Machine.  http://www.Twitter.com/PopWrapped http://www.PopWrapped.Tumblr.com/ http://www.SoundCloud.com/PopWrapped http://www.Facebook.com/PopWrapped http://www.Instagram.com/PopWrapped http://www.Pinterest.com/PopWrapped http://www.YouTube.com/PopWrapped http://www.PopWrapped.wordpress.com/ http://www.PopWrapped.com
