The Great Gatsby star Carey Mulligan will be making her West End debut this June in the revival of David Hare's Skylight. While this may be the Hollywood starlet's first time on London's West End, Mulligan isn't a theatre novice. She made her first appearance on the stage in Forty Winks at the Royal Court Theatre and was also seen in the 2011 off Broadway production of Through a Glass Darkly  at the Atlantic Theatre Company. Theatre veteran Bill Nighy will join Mulligan, reprising the role of Tom Sergeant, the role he had played in the 2007 revival of Skylight. Mulligan's And When Did You Last See Your Father? and An Education  co-star, Matthew Beard will make his stage debut as Edward, Tom's son. Tony Award winner Stephen Daldry is set to direct the play. Skylight centers around Kyra Hollis (Mulligan), a teacher reunited with her former lover Tom (Nighy), who has hopes of rekindling their romance. Tom's son Edward (Beard) also comes into the picture when he demands to know why she left years ago. The revival of the award winning play is set to run from June 6 through Aug. 23 at Wyndham’s Theater.
