As we all know, on December 19th, Craig Ferguson will sadly step down as the host of The Late Late Show, a position he has held for nearly a decade. He will be replaced by James Corden, but only in March. Until then, the show will enlist a slate of guest hosts to take weekly control of the show for the three months leading up to Corden’s takeover.
The guest hosts are all familiar faces to the show, all having been memorable guests who Ferguson had great rapport without throughout his nine years on the show. His close friend Drew Carey will be the first guest host, hosting the first week and the last week of the guest host period.
Other guest hosts will include iconic comedy director Judd Apatow, Comedian and actor Will Arnett, Musician John Mayer, Mike and Molly star Billy Gardell, Sean Hayes, improv genius Wayne Brady, Jim Gaffigan (who has guest hosted before), Thomas Lennon, The Big Bang Theory’s Kunal Nayyar and the ladies of CBS’ The Talk.
Craig Ferguson will take his final bow on December 19th, and James Corden will begin his hopefully long-running tenure in March next year.
