Charlie Carver, one-half of the gorgeous twin werewolves featured on Teen Wolf last season, has been recruited for the new film Michael.

James Franco stars as Michael Glatze, a former pro-homosexuality advocate who founded the gay twink magazine XY and Young Gay America, both no longer in existence. Glatze caused controversy for later denouncing homosexuality after claiming he was saved from it by God, thus spawning the “ex-gay” movement.

The film’s plot is based on “My Ex-Gay Friend”, an article written about Michael Glatze for The New York Times by Benoit Denizet-Lewis.

Carver plays Tyler, whose relationship with Michael and Bennett (played by Zachary Quinto) leaves him heartbroken when Michael’s beliefs change.

Director Justin Kelly and producer Gus van Sant will lead the project.
