Charlie Hunnam Wants to 'Go On to a New Chapter of Life' After Leaving Fifty Shades Of Grey

Less than two weeks ago Charlie Hunnam announced he would no longer be starring as Christian Grey in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey. Recently, Charlie made his first appearance since parting ways with Fifty Shades in Burbank at the 2nd annual “Hogs for Hearts” fundraising event benefiting One Heart Source Education Programs in Africa. Speaking with E! Online, he said, "I am doing good. I am just really concentrating on work. It's been a really busy time. I have had some family stuff going on so just trying to stay focused and stay positive and keep trying to do a good job at work and be with my family and stay positive.” Charlie’s father, Billy, passed away in May of this year. Charlie flew back to England to be there with his family during their time of grieving, and admits he’s going to be spending even more time now with his family. "I've got some family stuff I have to tend to. So when I wrap the show, I am going to go to England and see my people and then I have a film that I am doing with Guillermo [del Toro]. So I am going to go and do that and concentrate on the final seasons of Sons." We can only hope this new film with Guillermo del Toro is a sequel to this year’s hit film Pacific Rim! After all, a sequel has already been promised to us. Speaking more about the future of his FX series Sons of Anarchy, Hunnam revealed, "There's rumor that we might do a couple of more episodes and do a little bit of an extended season next year, so we will see if that happens. It may or it may not. But I just want to finish that strong and go on to a new chapter of life.” Charlie attended "Hogs for Hearts" alongside some of his Sons of Anarchy costars, including Ron Pearlman and Kim Coates. The event was a success, raising $90,000 for children in Africa who were sponsored in one of three categories (academically, medically or nutritionally). Charlie sponsored three children, and talked about 13-year-old Simon, one of the children he sponsors. "He's an orphan, he lost his mom and his dad and was living on the streets, never been to school a day in his life. Then they found him, this organization. We just want to make as much money for these kids as possible.” It sounds like Charlie Hunnam has quite enough on his plate, even without Fifty Shades of Grey!
