Charlie Puth and Selena Gomez are playing ex-lovers on their hot new single, and we just can't get enough of it! The duo have been teasing clips of their collaboration, "We Don't Talk Any More," all over Instagram to get people pumped in the weeks leading to the final unveiling.

Well, now we have heard the track in full, and it's one emotional but addictive break up song.  Both of these artists are amazing on their own, but when you put their sweet vocals together it is simply astounding!

'We Don't Talk Anymore' is an honest break up song, but it goes one step beyond the  initial heartache.  This song is about the process of moving on, and finds the ex-lovers moving on to new beginnings.

The simple yet direct production lends itself to the honesty of the song.  Both singers approach the track with a subtle vocal technique, and they make full use of their upper register throughout the emotional performance.  The vibe lends itself to both a sad sound and a happy one.  The lyrics could go both ways but personally, we think that the poignant duet hits more on the sadder side of a break up.

Some of the lyrics imply that the lovers may no longer be together due to some infidelity, but the ex-lovers still harbor sweet feelings for one another. Their mixed emotions are increasingly evident with one look at the lyrics...

"I just hope you're lying next to somebody

Who knows how to love you like me

There must be a good reason that you're gone."

Take a listen below to this amazing duet and sway along with the music.  Pull up the lyrics while your listening, so you can read along and get the full effect of the emotional track.
