Cheers Star Rhea Perlman Gets A Little Neighborly

Susan Booth

Staff Writer

Former Cheers actress Rhea Perlman has signed on to star in The Neighbors. Perlman will being playing Janet, mother to Jamie Gertz’s character, Debbie. The character Janet, who has been living in Boca, is a former wild child as well as a terrible mother to Debbie (Jamie Gertz). However, Debbie is in for a surprise when she takes her family to visit. She discovers that her mother is not only sober, but is much more pleasant to be around. There is also an added surprise in the fact that she has also adopted a ten-year-old boy. Perlman has been working in the industry since 1971. She met her future husband, Danny DeVito, back when she was working on the hit series Cheers. Perlman has worked alongside her husband on a number of films including the hit adaptation of Roald Dahl’s classic, Matilda. Back in 2012, a surprise announcement was made that Perlman and DeVito had separated, but they were able to patch things up earlier this year. Perlman is currently starring in the TV Land series Kristie, as the assistant to the title character. The Neighbors is set to come back from its mid-season break on Friday January 10th. Perlman’s episode is set to begin filming next month and will be broadcast sometime in 2014. http://www.Twitter.com/PopWrapped https://pop-wrapped.tumblr.com http://www.SoundCloud.com/PopWrapped http://www.Facebook.com/PopWrapped http://www.Instagram.com/PopWrapped http://www.Pinterest.com/PopWrapped http://www.YouTube.com/PopWrapped https://pop-wrapped.wordpress.com http://www.PopWrapped.com
