Twenty-year-old English “I Want You Back” singer Cher Lloyd confessed in an interview recently that she felt that she was a nightmare to work with in her younger years. She admitted to being quite the diva during the production of her first studio album, Sticks and Stones, and wanted everything to be done her way. But, she’s all grown up now and has put all of her petulant behavior behind her.
"I don’t want to be the person people don’t want to meet… I never want to be remembered as the girl that came in and was rude to everyone and was an absolute diva even though she ain’t got her stripes yet," said Miss Lloyd. She further admitted that she doesn’t feel like she’s earned all of her stripes just yet, and that there’s still a long road of hard work ahead of her.
The singer rose to fame on the seventh series of The X Factor (2010) and has since had two Top 10 singles and a Top 5 album. Her album Sticks & Stones has gone gold, and she is currently preparing to release her second studio album. She has collaborated with artists such as Busta Rhymes, Mike Posner, Ghetts and many more. Her new album features even more star studded collaboration like TI, Ne-yo and Demi Lovato. She has also expressed her desire to collaborate with Nicki Minaj sometime in the future.
She recently premiered her new single featuring TI called “I Wish,” which is the first single released from her second studio album due in November.
Cher Lloyd will also be touring the States with the girl group Fifth Harmony for her I Wish Tour this fall! She has announced eleven dates in September, starting in Washington, DC on the sixth and ending September 23 in L.A.
