After Miley’s controversial and now historical VMA performance, everyone had an opinion about it.

And I do mean everyone.

Cher had some sharp criticisms for the young artist, which she quickly backtracked on and that backtracking makes a little more sense now.

The veteran diva just released a lyric video for the second single off of her new album, Closer to the Truth, and it turns out the single is actually a cover of Miley’s 2010 single “I Hope You Find It” from the The Last Song. They say imitation is the highest form of flattery, so maybe Cher is a bigger Miley fan then she lets on?

Slightly ironic and a seemingly odd choice for Cher; but we’ll let you decide who sang it best. Take a listen to both versions and let us know!
