Cher To Perform At Iconic LGBTQ Event, Dance On The Pier!

Nelson Melegrito

Event & Media Lead

Fresh from her first television appearance in a decade on the season finale of The Voice, Cher is heading to New York City to perform at the legendary Dance on The Pier for the city’s annual Pride event on June 30. The legendary pop diva will perform her new single “Woman’s World”  from her upcoming album to be released by Warner Bros. Records on September 24th.  We can expect Cher to sing her greatest hits as well from her catalog (Gypsies, Tramps & Thieves; Dark Lady; Believe; If I Could Turn Back Time).

“NYC Pride is thrilled to welcome Cher to the stage of this year’s Dance on the Pier! Her performance will be one of the most memorable in the history of this world-class party. Now in its 27th year, the Dance on the Pier continues a proud tradition of partnering with all-star talent to create a high-quality event that raises funds to support local LGBT non-profits and New York City’s Annual Pride festivities,” says Chris Frederick, Managing Director of NYC Pride.

Whitney Houston, Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson, Jennifer Hudson and Cyndi Lauper are some of the A-list female vocalists who have graced the stage at the Dance on The Pier. The annual event has raised awareness and funds to support local LGBT non-profit organizations for the past 27 years.

Heritage of Pride, the official organizer of New York City’s annual LGBT Pride Rally, March, Pridefest and Dance, works toward a future without discrimination where all people have equal rights under the law by producing LGBT Pride events that inspire, educate, commemorate and celebrate our diverse community.
