Dancing with the Stars is about to get a guest judge and it is one of the biggest names in the entertainment industry!
It has been confirmed that the Academy Award, Emmy, Golden Globe and Grammy-winning singer Cher, will the guest judge on next week’s Dancing with the Stars.
This will not be Cher’s first time in America’s favorite ballroom as she supported her son, Chaz Bono, when he appeared on the show during the 13th season.
However, do not expect the music legend to dance when she appears on the show as Cher still is recovering from a foot injury she has tolerated for years.
“I am waiting to have an operation,” Cher told People. “The doctor got a little crankier and said I have to do it.” People asked the music icon if she would ever do Dancing with the Stars as a contestant."Aren't I old enough now not to be a contestant anymore?" said the 67-year-old singer. "Haven't I got past the contestant part?"
Many of the contestants told Entertainment Weekly that they are ecstatic to have Cher as a judge. “I am so stoked to see Cher,” said Bill Engvall. “She is one of my favorite artists ever!”
Actor-singer Corbin Bleu added: “It is just honor to be able to perform in front of her.” His partner, Karina Smirnoff, simply stated: “This woman is timeless!"
In addition to judging alongside Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli, Cher will perform her signature song: “Believe” and her new single: “Closer to the Truth.” Cher previously appeared on Dancing with the Stars’ biggest competitor, The Voice, earlier this fall as an advisor for Team Blake.
