Last summer, Cheryl Cole Fernandez-Versini returned to the scene with her Tinie Tempah-assisted single, “Crazy Stupid Love”. The time has now come for the songstress to drop its follow-up, titled “I Don’t Care”.
The track serves as the second offering to be lifted from Cheryl’s forthcoming, fourth studio album, Only Human. The X Factor UK judge teamed up with Bonnie McKee, Jocke Ahlund and John Newman to write the song and it turns out to be. Upbeat and catchy, “I Don’t Care” is a care-free anthem with a sparkling, 80’s-inspired pop production. There’s even an explicit line featured, with the songstress singing “I don’t care, and it feels so fucking good to say I swear, that I don’t care”. However, a censored version was also released so that the swearing won’t affect the song’s radio airplay.
Cheryl is planning to release her upcoming record, Only Human, in November. Just like every UK release, “I Don’t Care” will not be available for purchase until November 9, more than a month later from its premiere date. Do you think it will follow the success of its predecessor, “Crazy Stupid Love”, and top the charts?
Give it a listen and let us know what you think in the comment section.
