So, Warner Bros. may be pulling a fast one, and rather than casting Chris Pine as Gal Godot’s love interest in the upcoming Wonder Woman movie, they may be circling in on a deal to cast him as Hal Jordan, aka Green Lantern.

And he may not be the only one.

Rumours are afloat that Warner Bros are sneakily trying to hoodwink the masses and re using Wonder Woman as a cover for Chris Pine’s casting. What’s more, the rumour mill is working double speed over the news that more than one Green Lantern may be present in the movie.

Warner Bros. plan to unveil their full lineup for Justice League, and it is believed it will include two Green Lanterns: John Stewart and Hal Jordan. While Pine is circling around the Hal Jordan casting, it is believed that Tyrese Gibson of Furious 7 fame may be about to nab the John Stewart role.

There are even rumours that there could be three Green Lanterns cast, with no buzz on who would play Guy Gardner.

Although, this is all speculation, so we may need to wait for more concrete evidence...but the signs are all pointing towards yes, folks.

After the last, let’s just say "diabolical," version of the franchise hit the silver screen to little acclaim, many tears of frustration and just a few yawns, the franchise seemed to lose a bit of momentum and the news of a reboot comes as a surprise: but mostly a welcome one.

Can’t be worse than last time, right?

We are ever the optimists here.

It’s not surprising that they’re going for the multiple Lanterns angle—although it is early days, so this might change—as in the universe there are multiple lanterns who act as an intergalactic police force righting wrongs and earn their power from their rings, which derive energy from their wearers' will for justice.

However, it seems the film may focus on the Human Lanterns, which may be an interesting take on the franchise.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how true the rumours turn out to be.

As always, you can keep up to date with any casting news or conspiracy theories right here at PopWrapped.
