We all know Christian Bale as the caped crusader, Batman in Christopher Nolan's highly acclaimed trilogy. It is a big iconic role that he more than made his own. So much so that any future or past actors who will take on the role would probably be compared to him. What Christopher Reeves is to Superman, Bale is to Batman. With that being said , what happens when he takes on a role that was made famous by one of the biggest legends of Hollywood? Looks like we will find out soon enough, because the trailer for Exodus: Gods and Kings had just come out. And Christian Bale, even with his Academy Award, will be filling in some large shoes as Moses in this Ridley Scott adaptation of the Biblical story. The trailer shows us a snippet of the close brotherly 'love' between the Moses and Rameses. And then proceeds to show clips of Egyptian chariots, soldiers, and some of the seven plagues. Then it ends with the iconic partial shot of the parting of the red sea. It is a thrilling thing to watch, and a massive throwback to old Hollywood epics, with lots of modern special effects. And appears to be more action oriented, and will feature a much younger and a more warrior-like Moses, in contrast to previous adaptations. Aside from Bale, the movie also stars Joel Edgerton as Rameses, Aaron Paul as Joshua, Sigourney Weaver as Tuya and Sir Ben Kingsley as Nun... and no he will not be playing a nun, his character's name is actually Nun. The film is slated for a Dec 12 release and you can check out the trailer below:
