Tony Award-winning actor Christian Borle has joined the cast of the critically acclaimed TV series Masters of Sex for its second season.

Borle is set to play the recurring role of Francis Masters, brother of main character William Masters, who is portrayed by Michael Sheen. Other actors who have joined the cast for the second season are Sarah Silverman, Betsy Brandt, Courtney B Vance, Keke Palmer and Rene Auberjonois.

Masters of Sex is a drama series airing on Showtime, based on the similarly-titled biography written by Thomas Maier that is based on the lives of William Masters and Virginina Johnson, two of the world’s first researchers of human sexuality.

Borle himself is best known for his role as Tom Levitt in the NBC musical-drama series Smash, as well as Broadway roles in Spamalot and Legally Blonde.

The second season of Masters of Sex will air on Showtime on July 13th!
