It has already been a couple of years since Ciara released her latest, self-titled studio album. After giving birth to her very first son and calling off her engagement with Future, the songstress has now returned with a brand-new single, “I Bet”, and it now has a video to go by.
Even though the urban-tinged ballad is sweet in sound, Ciara is definitely done being sweet with her former lover and totally calls him out in the lyrics. The accompanying visuals are rather simplistic, but work perfectly in terms of affection. It all kicks off with her setting a ballerina box in action, before she gets her pointe shoes on and becomes the ballerina herself. Ciara is clearly not happy with the situation, but she’s well-aware that she’s better off without that man. She appears wearing super-sexy white or black outfits, baring some skin and shaking her body to the beat. She does serve her exceptional dance moves, although the clip is more emotion-based this time around.
“I Bet” serves as the lead single and very first offering to be lifted from the songstress’ forthcoming, sixth studio album, Jackie. The record is expected to hit stores later this year, with Ciara currently eyeing to release it sometime in May. The songstress has also made public that she plans to tour the United States with the album, after its release.
For the time being, take a look at the music video for “I Bet” below.
