It’s been a lengthy hiatus since the first season of Orphan Black, and it’s testing out patience.  Luckily, we come baring good news. Orphan Black’s second season has finally begun production.

The sci-fi series stars Tatiana Maslany as a handful of characters — we’d say more, but then we might spoil the whole series for you. If you want an idea as to how incredible the show is, take in the fact that the show is received the highest original series debut on Space.

Corrie Coe, senior vice-president of independent production at Bell Media, told DigitalSpy that Orphan Black’s debut season provided suspense, drama, and thrill, and in turn grabbed the attention of both viewers and critics.

“Season two continues to build on the excitement with creators Graeme Manson and John Fawcett leading us further into a labyrinth of twists, turns, and surprises,” she said.  “We look forward to another exciting season with our partners Temple Street Productions and BBC America, and can’t wait for more note-perfect performances from the cast, including the outstanding Tatiana Maslany.”
