User Clones Steam Games And Plants Trojan Viruses

A user on Steam cloned several games and implanted them Trojan viruses, probably making some buyers very upset once they completed their purchases.

Can I just start off with, what a troll?

A couple of Greenlight Games were initially posted by a user known as Bluebunny14; cute name. The five games had links that led users to a Trojan virus.

How malicious; somebody must have made poor Bluebunny14 to rage quit on something for them to hand out a virus.

According to Steam, the games were merely clones in its entirety and once the buyers had purchased, they didn’t get the game of choice. Instead, a virus greeted them on the other side of the link.

Over time, Valve managed to remove all suspicious links, thank goodness. Be careful what you buy guys, even if it’s just a video game.

If you’re reading this and you had the virus, I’m sorry, that really sucks. I would be just as pissed as you probably were.

Happy gaming!
