Outside of Taylor Swift, few modern day pop artists can say that they've enjoyed the chameleonesque trajectory in the music business that Cody Simpson has. Debuting as an R&B and dance-leaning artist back at just 13-years-old with the 4 U EP, the Australian singer-songwriter has since traded in his slick synth and d-n-b stylistics for a relaxed, matured outlook into the business of more acoustic, Jack Johnson type beach pop affairs.
Predating the release of an impending album fully crafted in the same style, "Flower" is the debut showcasing of his sweet new sound. Miley Cyrus had designed the artwork for the single, seen above. Commenting on the design process of her art, the "Wrecking Ball" singer said, "I just wanted something where people didn't have a stereotypical idea of what he was and could just look at the song for what it is, because it's a fucking epic song."
