Colin Kaepernick Fined By NFL For Wearing Headphones

Colin Kaepernick has recently been fined $10 000 for wearing Beats by Dre headphones, as the NFL had made an earlier deal with rival Bose headphones.

Hey Popwrapped readers, we’ve got a different kind of sports news for you!

The NFL, or the “No Fun League”, as we like to call them, is surprisingly serious about their ban on Beats by Dre headphones. To prove it, the league has fined San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick $10,000 for wearing the popular headphones in a post-game interview. Geez!

The league recently made a deal with Bose headphones. After the deal, they said they would fine any player who wears Beats in front of cameras, before or after games.

The ban was implemented late last week, so there could be a chance that Kaepernick was unaware of what he was doing. Either way, this ban is just another rule that has many fans and players going, “Really?”

I’m sure many of the players aren’t too worried about being fined for this. It’s not the hardest rule to follow. Besides, they’re not exactly hurting for money! I’m also sure Kaepernick will pay off the fine without too much trouble, considering CelebrityNetworth lists his annual salary as $750 000 a year. Not bad at all!

It’s also possible Beats by Dre will pay the fine for him. However, as you can see, that is still uncertain.

Of course, the question remains: Is it really okay to fine him for this? Will this in any way impact the sale of Bose headphones, which is what the deal was really about in the first place?
