The Conjuring was one of the most successful horror films of the recent years. With Annabelle currently spreading the fear in the world, the second installment of The Conjuring was scheduled to hit theaters next year, but it’s now been delayed.

The Conjuring 2 was planned to arrive in theaters sometime in October 2015. However, Warner Bros has now gone and pushed it back to 2016, giving a different horror film screen time instead. The movie is still untitled, but it’s coming from New Line and will be released on October 23, 2015. It will go up against Universal’s Jem And The Holograms.

While Annabelle gave us insight at the things happenning before the original film with the creepy doll, we might have to crave to find out about the following events. As it seems we’re going to wait a bit longer to see the continuation of the $318-million The Conjuring, starring Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson. The sequel is written by Carey and Chad Hayes, while the director has yet to be announced.
