While Tom Hiddleston has been tearing up TIFF with two of his upcoming projects, I Saw The Light and High Rise, it’s hard to forget that he has another project on the horizon: Crimson Peak.
Two new clips from the Guillermo Del Toro gothic horror flick have dropped – and they’re every bit as spooky and scary as you’d imagine.
The first clip sees Mia Wasikowska’s Edith hear bizarre noises emanating from the hallways of the gothic mansion, which leads her to stumble across a terrifying ghost. From the previous trailers and clips released, we already know that the ghosts in Crimson Peak have a very striking and different image than what we might naturally associate with them.
In the second clip, Edith has an encounter of a different kind; with sister-in-law Lucille, played by Jessica Chastain. The former asks for a set of house keys and Lucille’s reaction is rather frosty. We also learn from Hiddleston’s Sir Thomas Sharpe that the red-coloured water that runs from the pipes in the house is from the clay on which the foundation is built (although it still looks suspiciously like blood).
If your skin wasn't crawling enough, we see a scene between Chastain and Hiddleston that will really make you re-think going to any kind of haunted house this Halloween.
Crimson Peak, which also stars Charlie Hunnam, will be released on October 16.
