With a total of more than 10 million streams of her previous single alone, there’s no denying that Cooper Phillip has what it takes to capture the hearts, minds and ears of music fans.

Hailing from a very musical family, including her master of a violin playing mother, Phillip grew up surrounded by artists, immersing herself in the pleasures of music from several different genres. In particular, she took it upon herself to learn the works of Ella Fitzgerald, and later went on to study classic piano, jazz, ballet and voice, taking the time and putting in the effort to hone her craft and taking on every challenge that came her way with a fierce determination.

Phillip’s music features an underlying theme of strength, grace and empowerment, the latter being something that is becoming decidedly present in cities around the world given recent events, and Philip admits: “I believe we underestimate ourselves often and our fear takes over. My goal is to show people that they are stronger and can do much more than they think they can.”

Now, with an impressive and loyal fanbase behind her, and having played some of the most prestigious venues in Los Angeles, she’s established herself as a truly talented artist and one the world looks set to take even further notice of as she releases new single “Not Perfect”, which PopWrapped are delighted to premiere.

Asked about the inspiration and idea behind the song, Phillip says: “Not Perfect” is about self love and finding unique qualities about yourself that make you YOU.  There is no need to modify who you are just to fit in with the societies norm.  You have to stay true to who you are and carry yourself with pride and with dignity.”
