A few months back, PopWrapped brought you what we dubbed “Gleekuary:March To The 100th Episode.” It was a full-on Gleek fest that we enjoyed immensely; and we think you did, too.
This tribute is a far more somber one than Gleekuary, but PopWrapped staffers have requested that we do something similar for the impending anniversary of Cory Monteith’s heartbreaking death.
Last July 13, the entertainment world, and the Glee fandom in particular, was turned upside down by the news of the bright young star’s overdose. And while we are perfectly aware that Cory was far from perfect, we are choosing to focus on the immense good that he put into the world. We assure you, it far outweighed the bad.
I hope you enjoy our tributes to Cory. Editing just a few of them has me teary eyed and nostalgic. I can’t help but wonder if the lackluster ratings of Glee‘s last season were due to a little bit of the magic dying along with Cory and his loveable character, Finn Hudson. I know that, for me, an element was missing without his smiling face and earnest goodness filling my screen.
This is for you, Cory. Your fans are still mighty and present. We promise that, if we have anything to say about it, you won’t soon be forgotten.
