I’m betting that no one saw this coming! Even us writers and editors here at PopWrapped were very surprised by this most shocking of TV news
It’s been confirmed by Entertainment Weekly that Cote De Pablo, who plays Ziva David will be exiting the show during the upcoming 11th season. The new season has yet to begun production yet.
Cote De Pablo said in this statement: “I’ve had a great 8 years with NCIS and Ziva David. I have huge respect and affection for Mark, Gary, Michael, David, Rocky, Pauly, Brian, Sean all of the team and CBS. I look forward to finishing Ziva’s story.”
CBS has added to Pablo’s statement by saying: “We respect Cote’s decision and thank her for being an important part of the NCIS team and for eight terrific years playing Ziva David. Cote and CBS share a great respect for the NCIS audience and we look forward to working with her and the producers on appropriate closure in this chapter of Ziva’s story.”
Pablo joined the cast of NCIS back in season 3, after Sasha Alexander left, she played Caitlin Todd. There was a quick friendship that formed between Ziva and Anthony DiNozzo ( Mark Weatherly).
It’s been suggested that there may or may not be a romance (Tiva) between the two, even with Cote’s departure this season.
Don’t be too sad friends! Ziva will still be in the 11th season!
