The queen of country music, Carrie Underwood, is back with a bang thanks to her new video for "Smoke Break".
The track is the first to be taken from her new album Storyteller which will be released on October 23rd.
In an interview with ETonline, Underwood explained that she wanted the video:
....to be mainly about strong women -- strong beautiful women who are doing everything that the boys do.
The song sees Underwood head in a slightly new direction compared to that of her previous material, something she openly admits to have earnestly worked towards saying:
I want to grow as an artist and I just want every album to have its own feeling.
She went on to declare that Storyteller became:
...more twangy but kinda this cool, edgy twang, like a rock twang. It just ended up being a new thing for me, which I'm really excited about.
Since giving birth to her first child, Isaiah, in February, she's been off the radar to be with the newborn and husband Mike Fisher. With this new release, and the building hype surrounding her new album, it looks like she's set to bounce back onto it in a big way - and we here at PopWrapped couldn't be happier about it.
Welcome back Carrie!
