The party that began in the 1990s with British TV series Absolutely Fabulous is going to continue onto the big screen.
Jennifer Saunders, creator and co-star in the comedy, has confirmed two exciting bits of news.
Number one, the English comedienne is currently writing the script for the film, which she confirmed to the South Wales Evening Post:
“I am writing the film as we speak — it’s in the pipeline. I am hoping it will be released by the end of next year.”
Number two, Glee‘s Chris Colfer will play a role in the movie:
I’ve promised Chris Colfer that he can be in it, and I’ve said it so often that now he has to be in it. I’ve promised so many people they’re going to be in it and I haven’t even written it. I’m not going to tell you (how much has been written) because it frightens me. Let’s just say it’s early stages but I will not renege on that bet.”
Absolutely Fabulous stars Saunders and Joanna Lumley as two middle-aged women who drink and party around London, and has aired sporadically since 1992.
