With Star Wars: Episode VII scoops still few and far between, one would be hard-pressed to realize that J. J. Abrams and company are already well on their way in planning the incoming episodes VIII and IX!
In a recent unveiling, however, it has been confirmed that Daisy Ridley will be one of the headlining stars of the eighth and ninth Star Wars films that will sooner or later be officially set into production. Her role is yet to be announced, but for starring in all three films in Abrams’ trilogy, it has to be a good one.
This comes after, a few months back, Ridley was confirmed for Episode VII alongside fellow actors John Boyega (Attack the Block), Oscar Isaac (Inside Llewyn Davis), Adam Driver (Girls), Andy Serkis (The Lord of the Rings), Domnhall Gleeson (Harry Potter), Max von Sydow (007), Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years a Slave), and Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones). While they’ve all starred in relatively well-received TV shows and movies in the past, they’re all still relatively new to the American silver screen, which is exhilarating! Star Wars will undoubtedly give them all the big break that they deserve!
Star Wars: Episode VII is currently slated for a theatrical release sometime in 2015.
