It's Week 2!!! Can Alfonso and Witney remain at the top of the leader board, or will other stars knock them off?

Let's find out.

"Dancing with The Stars" dove into its second week of competition following last weeks premiere (and elimination of Lolo Jones). Last week included some major moments across the board, so it was going to be interesting to see who rose to the occasion tonight....and who faltered.

Tonight, the contestants would pick their own songs for their dances and the show got off to a great start as each judge even got a chance to show off theirs!

Ready?

1. Randy Couture & Karina - Cha Cha

The UFC champ wanted to show off a different side of himself this week and I have to give him a lot of credit for giving it his best. He did seem a little heavy on his feet during moments, and there was one spot where he almost missed grabbing on to Karina. The judges picked up on his footwork, as well his shoulders, but they said it was a lot of fun and a great way to start the show. They managed to pick up four 7's, giving them a 28 out of 40.

2. Janel Parrish & Val - Foxtrot

I smell a contender!!

Janel and Val absolutely ooze chemistry on the dance floor, and their foxtrot did not disappoint. The "Liar" also impressed me because she managed to pull back on all of the wacky facial expressions. While Julianne and Len were a little discouraged it wasn't more of a traditional dance, they did still enjoy it. Great scores of two 8's and two 9's gave them an amazing 34 out of 40!!

3. Lea Thompson & Artem - Jive

WOW!!

To quote Bruno, "Viva La Lea", because this was crazy good. The judges were over the moon with the performance, with Julianne and Bruno even on their feet! The duo managed to scores three 9's and Grumpy Len giving them an 8 for some reason. Leading the board with 35 out of 40, I can't wait to see more from Lea in the competition. This was magical!!

4. Michael Waltrip & Emma - Samba

The energy was bound to dip.

Unfortunately, the NASCAR racer didn't live up to the expectations with his samba, and Emma could only carry him through it. There were a few nice spots, but when it came out of hold, it fell apart. The judges gave the couple four 6's, giving them the lowest score of the night thus far, with 24 out of 40. Michael was clearly defeated by the results, as he was seen hoping for at least one 7.

5. Tavis Smiley & Sharna - Cha Cha

The pre-performance package showed off some difficulty as Tavis' schedule was making it difficult for them to really rehearse, and unfortunately it showed in the dance. While there were some definite highlights during the number, Len hit the nail on the head when he said it lacked polish. They still managed to earn four 7's from the judges which I have to admit, shocked me a tad. I expected at least one 6.

6. Alfonso Ribeiro & Witney - Samba

Could the leaders be dethroned?

Now, we need to discuss their song choice: "Gettin' Jiggy With It" by Will Smith!!!

The crowd definitely loved it, but the judges were torn. They felt that while it was great, they needed more of the technique and not as much showmanship. While they secured four 8's, it was still a tad bit of a dip from their stellar scores last week during the premiere. Is he in trouble?

Not a chance, with 32 out of 40!

7. Bethany Mota & Derek - Foxtrot

The YouTube star took on some risks with the foxtrot, but Derek pushed her through and it definitely paid off!!

She was nursing a sore ankle, but you wouldn't have known it with the dynamite performance. Bethany worked the floor like a pro and even managed to snag a 9 from Len! Three 8's rounded out their score to 33 out of 40.

8. Betsey Johnson & Tony - Foxtrot

There may have been a prop malfunction last week, but not this week!!!

The 72 year old designer showed no signs of slowing down as her and Tony delivered a gorgeous and fun foxtrot set to "Girls Just Want To Have Fun". I still can't get over how flexible Betsey is, with her even lifting up her own leg into a hold!! She received a standing ovation from the judges, with Len even saying last week didn't matter because tonight was the night Betsey arrived.

They received four 7's for the dance and Betsey was over the moon!

9. Antonio Sabato Jr. & Cheryl - Rumba

Someone get the fire extinguisher, because this was FIRE!!!!

It may be too early to call performances of the season (clearly, only at week 2) but this was absolutely everything and then some. The chemistry pouring from was insane, and Antonio never seemed to falter.

It wouldn't be a sex driven routine without Bruno complimenting Antonion on his butt.

The scored three 8's and a 7 from Grumpy Len. Seriously, I'm not going to miss him next week. Len announced during the broadcast that he will be away next week.

10. Tommy Chong & Peta - Salsa

My God, I love this man.

Tommy showed off his fearless side, busting some serious moves with his gorgeous partner. Tommy may not have the best technique, but he makes up for it with the chances he takes. He had so much fun and we all had fun watching him. Four 7's gave them a total of 28 out of 40.

11. Jonathan Bennett & Allison - Cha Cha

Once again, the judges were split.

Jonathan and Allison exploded on the stage with a fiery performance that never seemed to take its foot off the gas. Len and Carrie Ann delivered 7's when they felt it didn't include enough Cha Cha elements, while Julianne and Bruno gave them 8's. I honestly loved the performance because the energy from Jonathan is absolutely infectious and he's a natural at this. He moves with ease, and has a great time.

Great performance!!

12. Sadie Robertson & Mark - Jazz

The cowgirl and her partner brought a country-fied jazz routine to the show and it didn't exactly work its magic on Grumpy Len. The patriarch of the show felt the country and jazz didn't mesh, which yours truly somewhat agreed with. The others seemed to enjoy it, and they received 31 out of 40 after getting 8's from the other 3.

That was all folks!!

The leader board saw quite the change with Lea and Artem taking the top spot, while Michael and Emma landed at the bottom.

Who goes home Tuesday night??
