Everyone knows James Dean; he is the epitome of cool, a symbol of classic American youth. So it is no surprise that he has been portrayed in both the small and big screen a few times.
The latest effort to bring the Hollywood icon to the cinema is director Anton Corbijn's Life. The movie focuses the story on a series of photos that were taken of the young actor before the premier of his first film East of Eden.
A new trailer of the film has been released, and here we catch a first glimpse of Robert Pattinson, not as the Hollywood legend but as Dennis Stock, the photographer for Life Magazine who followed Dean around. Up and coming young actor Dane DeHaan is the one who gets to play Dean and we see him in all his brooding glory.
Veteran actors, Sir Ben Kingsley and Joel Edgerton also star in the film. Kingsley will be portraying Studio Boss Jack L. Warner of Warner Brothers and Edgerton will play Stock's boss, Magnum Photography Editor John G. Morris. Joining them is Alessandra Mastronardi who will be playing Pier Angeli, an italian actress that Dean dated.
There is currently no set US release date but the film will premiere in France on September 9 and in the United Kingdom and Ireland on September 25. Check out the full trailer below:
