According to comicbooktherapy.com, Daniel Cudmore will be returning as Peter Rasputin, or Colossus, for X-Men: Days of Future Past. The film is set in an apocapyptic future that is run entirely by beings called Sentinels. The hope is that Colossus, who didn’t get a lot of press in the original trilogy, will get to smash a few Sentinel heads in the new film.

A recently leaked excerpt of the script leaves much to the imagination, but one thing is sure: Colossus will be getting plenty of action in this next feature!

At the request of the studio, we have removed this image.

Even if we take the screenshot from Peter Georgio’s tweet (above) with a grain of salt, the Sentinel mentioned sounds pretty cool! Almost like Rogue, in a futuristic beat-you-up-with-a-copy-of-your-own-armor kind of way.

But even with some awesome new screen time, things will probably get worse before they can get better. As an apocalyptic, time travel type of film, Days of Future Past will keep us on the edges of our seats.

And then they’ll pull a page from Toonami’s Code Lyoko and reset everything.

Or not. At this stage we’re not entirely sure. With some familiar faces not even making it into the final cut, it’ll be nice to see Cudmore’s Colossus do a little more than be the backup for a disco ball.

Stay tuned as we uncover more great factoids about X-Men: Days of Future Past!
