The second single from David Bowie’s highly anticipated new album, The
Next Day was released today. ‘The Stars (Are Out Tonight)’ is a
completely different sound from the first single ‘Where Are We Now?’
which was released on his 66th birthday (January 8) earlier this year.
’Where Are We Now?’ was a slower, melancholy ballad. The Stars is a
fast, upbeat track. The Next Day drops on March 12 in the US.   His
official facebook page released this information: The short film “The
Stars (Are out Tonight)” released February 26, 2013, features David
Bowie and Tilda Swinton as a happily married couple.

Their world is disturbed and then re-arranged by the intrusion of a
celebrity couple played by Andrej Pejic and Saskia De Brauw.
