The news is coming fast and furious about a possible X-Files
reboot! We told you last week about Gillian Anderson’s call to rally fan support with the hashtag #XFiles2015 during a Nerdist Podcast
interview with Chris Hardwick; and, just a few days later, FOX execs confirmed to Entertainment Weekly
that the network was in talks with series creator Chris Carter.
The good news keeps coming as just today, David Duchovny told USA Today
that he is ready and willing to reprise his role as Agent Fox Mulder in a limited run of the series saying he’s, “more than happy and excited to bring it back and do it again with (co-star) Gillian (Anderson) and (series creator) Chris (Carter).”
Duchovny, 54, went on to say, “I’m assuming that it will happen sooner rather than later now. We’ll see what form, how many (episodes). Certainly I can’t nor would I be interested in doing a full season. It will be in some kind of limited form. We’re all old, we don’t have the energy for a full season.”
It appears Duchovny will have a very busy time ahead of him as he will also be starring in the NBC series, Aquarius,
as a homicide detective in pursuit of Charles Manson in the 1960s before the infamous Tate-LaBianca murders.
And how about that X-Files
after show hosted by Chris Hardwick? He’s got time for that, right? How ’bout it, FOX?
