David Guetta Amazes With New Single, “Dangerous”

David Guetta is back and with a new musical flavor. His first single “Dangerous” is a sign that the genius is trying something fresh.

David Guetta hasn’t released an album since 2011’s Nothing But The Beat. However, that is about to change soon, since the French producer and DJ is about to drop his long-awaited, sixth studio album, Listen. The first single to be lifted from it is titled “Dangerous” and features Sam Martin.

“Dangerous” is unexpectedly good! It’s a proper lead single for David Guetta, but don’t say you expected it to be an EDM extravaganza (hint: it’s not!). It’s like he realized that the genre won’t be in the limelight for long enough and decided to make a total twist. What we have here is indeed a dance-pop song, but not one of those well-known, over-played bangers; this one features piano keys and violin strings, with the melody going electronic and sounding fantastic. One could say there’s even some Daft Punk-inspired funk in it as well. From the production work to the vocals, it’s all perfect.

It’s David Guetta we’re talking about, so you thought wrong if you counted him out already! He’s a genius when it comes to music, after all. If his forthcoming studio album, Listen, sounds anything like “Dangerous”, then he’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

Take a listen to the song below, through its accompanying lyric video.
