David Guetta is still going on strong with the promotion of his latest studio album, Listen. The latest offering to be getting the single treatment is the cheerful, Emeli Sandé-assisted “What I Did For Love”, which now has a music video to go by.
Neither the British songstress nor the producer and DJ are anywhere to be seen in the visuals. Instead, the animated clip follows the modern version of a tale similar to Beauty And The Beast. There’s no better way to actually describe it, as an ape is seen falling deeply in love with a human being. The two get into all kinds of romantic adventures, as he manages to rescue his love interest from a shark and some alien, technological masterpiece of a monster. There’s no denying that it’s rather weird, but David Guetta has been following the cartoon-ish approach with this era of his, so at least there’s an explanation for it.
"What I Did For Love" serves as the third official single to be lifted from David Guetta’s sixth studio album, Listen, and it was released late last month. It serves as a follow-up to the Sam Martin-assisted “Lovers On The Sun” and “Dangerous”, while it has also been confirmed that the Nicki Minaj-assisted “Hey Mama” will be the next offering from the record.
