In a shocking turn of events, the United Kingdom recently voted to leave the European Union. In a not so surprising turn of events, Donald Trump has already messed up the facts.

This week on Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, the comedian took the time to focus on the after effects of the Brexit referendum and how the presumptive Republican presidential nominee has confused Scotland's stance towards Brexit.

Trump had arrived in Scotland shortly after the vote and was praising the decision to leave the European Union. His vote of confidence of the country supposedly "taking their country back" would have been nice, if it were true. If the candidate hadn't noticed, Scotland strongly voted to remain in the EU.

The people of Scotland didn't ignore the mess-up, they took to Twitter to voice their aggravation towards the candidate and Miss Bee wanted to showcase some of those magnificent gems. So who else to help Bee's segment by reading some of the tweets than the Tenth Doctor himself, David Tennant.

The comedian also used the decision to relate it to the future of American politics.

"The Brexit vote was driven by angry, less educated older white voters who feel screwed by globalization and the establishment and have been fed a chip butty of xenophobia slathered in slogan sauce," said Bee later in her show. "Even a brain-damaged baboon couldn't miss the parallels between the U.S and Britain."

The immediate results of the Brexit vote have not been positive for the UK as well as for the rest of the world, with global stock markets taking large losses as well as some reports of an increase in hate crimes in the UK.

"While the Brits were waking up in the ruins of their nation, and saying 'Oh God, what have we done?' A lot of Americans were looking over and saying 'Oh God, what are we about to do?'" said Bee.

The comedian emphasized the parallels between the United States and the United Kingdom throughout her show, strongly noting the importance for Trump to lose in the upcoming election.

"Trump's brand of right-wing, racist, anti-immigrant demagoguery isn't American. It's an European import. If we're smart, we'll stop it at the border and send it back where it came from."

Full Frontal with Samantha Bee airs weekly on Monday nights at 10:30pm EST on TBS.
