David Tennant, our beloved former Doctor, has decided to pay tribute to his favorite Scottish rock duo The Proclaimers.
The Scottish actor has penned a foreword to The Proclaimers: The Very Best Of compilation album. The album was released this week in honor of the duo’s twenty-fifth anniversary.
Tennant writes that he always loved the music of The Proclaimers. The enjoyment goes back to his teenage years and followed him down the aisle in his 2011 wedding to wife, Georgia Moffett.
Tennant said in his foreword “these songs are the soundtrack of my life”.
This is not the first time Tennant and The Proclaimers have collaborated. The duo made a cameo in a YouTube video for “I’m Gonna Walk (500) Miles” that Tennant recorded with the cast and crew of Doctor Who in 2010.
Tennant also hopes to be casted in a future film version of the musical of Sunshine Of Leith. This musical is based around the music of the Scottish duo.
