Grab your parrot, your keg of rum and be prepared to take to the high seas again as we have some Pirates of the Caribbean 5 news for you all. That’s right, the title of the fifth instalment of the franchise has finally been revealed and it’s certainly an interesting one.
The film’s directors, Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg, announced the title earlier this week during an interview with This Is Infamous. Now we can share with you that the next film will be called Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. A very ominous title and one that brings up memories of the famous Disney ride on which the films are based.
Rønning and Sandberg are best known as the directors of the Oscar-nominated Kon-Tiki. Following the success of that film, the pair were hired to take the helm of the latest Pirates film back in May of this year. Jeff Nathanson, of Catch Me If You Can fame, is currently working on the script. Production on the film is expected to start later this year or early 2014.
The film currently has an opening date set for July 10, 2015.
