Superhero fans gird your loins: the Deadpool movie is happening! According to director, Tim Miller it is, anyway. Well, his exact words were that the film is "still alive" and that they're just waiting for the official green light from 20th Century Fox. Same difference. "Deadpool is still alive and we're just waiting for the studio to embrace what an amazingly f**king awesome film this would be." That was the statement Miller gave Clevver Movies recently. "Ryan is ready. The fans are more than ready. We just need that elusive green light. We will never give up." Ryan Reynolds is all but set to play the title role, hinting that despite the wait, progress is moving in the right direction, making "a few very, very small tiptoes forward". When the film does eventually hit screens we're almost certain it will be an instant classic, with the brilliant Zombieland writers, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick on board to helm the script. For a sneak preview of Reynolds' Deadpool portrayal, check out 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine, if you haven't already.  We're not sure what the hold up is, but Deadpool is one of Marvel's most popular comic characters so come on 20th Century Fox, get a move on! http://www.Twitter.com/PopWrapped https://pop-wrapped.tumblr.com http://www.SoundCloud.com/PopWrapped http://www.Facebook.com/PopWrapped http://www.Instagram.com/PopWrapped http://www.Pinterest.com/PopWrapped http://www.YouTube.com/PopWrapped https://pop-wrapped.wordpress.com http://www.PopWrapped.com
