The Degrassi Cast Reunites And We Are Absolutely Loving It | Degrassi

Earlier this week, Degrassi alumni reunited to bid farewell to the series after airing for 14 seasons on Teen Nick. Degrassi: The Next Generation spent over a decade detailing the troubles of adolescence that include bullying, drug usage, sexuality, abuse, and the inner struggle of discovering who you are that a vulnerable age. The series gained mass amounts of fans and kicked off the career of many young actors (Drake, Landon Liboiron, Nina Dobrev, etc.) while receiving extremely positive feedback and critical acclaim for the ongoing stories of Degrassi.

Teen Nick will air a finale special that reunites many of the original cast and fan favorites which is titled, "It Goes There: Degrassi‘s Most Talked-About Moments," which gives the cast time to reflect on the impact of the series. The special will air July 31 (8/7c) and coincides with the beloved drama series finale episode. The cast (both past and present) including, Adamo Ruggiero (Marco), Lauren Collins (Paige), Jake Epstein (Craig), Charlotte Arnold (Holly J.), Luke Bilyk (Drew), Ana Golja (Zoe), Annie Clark (Fiona), Aislinn Paul (Clare), Jordan Todosey (Adam), and Raymond Ablack (Sav) took to social media to share their reunion which sent the fandom into a tailspin of feels.

For those of you who may be devastated by the loss of Degrassi: The Next Generation, there is good news to focus one as well...Netflix has (wisely) picked up Degrassi for its next season, and the series will be titled, Degrassi: Next Class! This newest installment will feature some of the current students in addition to a new slew of students. As much as I love seeing the cast reunite to pay tribute to their time with the series, this only makes me want to see an adult Degrassi, like a "where are they now" season. Maybe one day Netflix? I can hope...
