Demi Lovato Came To Birmingham, AL For Her SNS House Party Tour And It Was Epic!

iHeartRadio selected some stations available on their radio streaming app for intimate shows with Demi Lovato to promote her single Sorry Not Sorry.

iHeartRadio selected some of the stations available on their radio streaming app for intimate shows with Demi Lovato to promote her new single “Sorry Not Sorry.”  I was lucky enough that they chose my local station 1037 the Q and held a SNS House Party at Iron City, which is a small concert venue in downtown Birmingham.

This stop was her second on the tour which started in Boston on July 11th.  She hit Birmingham on July 12th for a free event where she performed three of her hits including her new song along with meeting some very lucky fans who won VIP passes through the radio station’s contest.

1037 announced the event over the weekend letting everyone know that Demi Lovato was coming to Iron City for a silent disco party to promote “Sorry Not Sorry.”  Initially, the contest seemed that it would just be to gain entry, but it was later announced that contest entries were for VIP access to meet her. You better believe, I was on Instagram and Twitter like crazy for a chance to meet one of my favorite singers who had never before come to my city. On Tuesday, I got my DM on Twitter from 1037 to let me know that I was going to meet her and to be there at 3pm with my headphones and smartphone.

The previous event Boston was in someone’s living room, where Lovato sang and danced with a very small and intimate group of fans along with New England Patriot’s player Rob Gronkowski! This event was initially slated to be a silent disco where we would listen to the performance through our headphones via the iHeartRadio app, but things changed later in the day.

The doors opened for the party at 3pm, and those with VIP access went in first to pick a great spot to watch the show, and around 30 minutes later, the rest of the people who’d been waiting in line all day were let in. Demi Lovato had some delays getting in, so she didn’t arrive till slightly before 6pm, but that didn’t stop the fans from having a great time.

1037 was the DJ for the event and it was like a big party in a club where we all danced and sang along until it was time for Ms. Lovato to take the stage.  And when she arrived, she was amazing!  She sang “Sorry Not Sorry,” “Confident,” and “Cool for the Summer.” I’ve never seen her live before this event, and she is such a great performer. I’ve always know how talented she was, but to hear her in person is a whole other level of awesome. The event was amazing, so if your local radio station is lucky enough to have one of these events, make sure you go! I know I’ll continue to listen to Sorry Not Sorry on repeat.
