Demi Lovato has told Billboard that she thinks Ed Sheeran is “inspiring”, in a recent interview.

The singer also spoke about what music she has on her iPod, ”I’m always a fan of Paramore, but lately I’ve been listening to a lot of Ed Sheeran and Bon Iver.”

The “Heart Attack” singer, who recently announced details for her Neon Lights tour, told Billboard how she complies the playlist, ”The message I want people to hear [is] that there’s more than catchy songs released as singles. The album [tracks] should get more attention. That’s why Ed Sheeran is so inspiring – it’s not just about pop songs.”

Lovato, who is also a judge on The X Factor USA, recently debuted her new blue hairstyle on Jay Leno’s TV Show. The singer was dressed all in black for her performance of her latest single ‘Neon Lights”. She later tweeted an image of herself along with the caption, ”LIKE NEON HAAAIIIIIRRRRR!!!!”

Her Neon Lights tour will begin Feb 9th and will feature Cher Lloyd, Fifth Harmony, and Little Mix as the supporting artists. Lovato told Billboard, ”It’s girl empowerment. I helped put together Fifth Harmony, and a year later they’re on the charts, so I’m really happy for them. It’s surreal. Everyone (in the groups) is a power vocalist-they can all sing-so I love the idea of the show.”
